Harrison Trimble Musicians Preparing for Annual Winter Concert.

Students in Harrison Trimble's Music Department are excitedly preparing for their annual Winter Concert.

Monday night's concert will feature acts from the Concert Band, Vocal Ensemble, Voice Class, and other student lead acts. These music groups have been working for months to prepare music, which will be a mix of holiday hits and other fun pieces for audiences to enjoy.

"I am excited to perform, mainly because I enjoy working as a part of a large group," says grade 12 student Jackson Higgins, a member of the Vocal Ensemble and a saxophone player in the Concert Band and student lead chamber group. He sees being part of the music department being a great opportunity.

"The music department offers many fun opportunities to experiment with music and gives a chance to figure out if its something worthwhile. That's why most people get involved and very few are disappointed," he adds.

Grade 10 student Sophie Brander is also very excited to perform. "I really love seeing all our hard work coming to fruition" she says.

The Winter Concert will begin at 7 in the auditorium, with doors opening at 6:30. Admission is by donation, and there will also be a canteen available. All proceeds from the concert will go directly back to supporting the music department.
